Executive Vice President, Education Content and Credentialing
As Executive Vice President of Education Content and Credentialing, Healthcare for OnCourse Learning, Robert Hess is responsible through the provider unit, OnCourse Learning, for the credentialing, development, dissemination, and evaluation of continuing education to nurses, physicians, pharmacists and 15 other groups of allied health professionals. Under his leadership, OnCourse Learning has grown into the largest CE provider for RNs. Its products reach RNs and allied health professionals through national and regional shows, seminars, webinars, print modules, and websites.
In 2007, 2009 and 2012, OnCourse Learning won the prestigious Accreditation Premier Program Award from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Hess holds many degrees including a doctorate in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, where he studied organizational theory at the Wharton School, and has been a distinguished lecturer and writer for The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International.
He is also a past recipient of the prestigious New Jersey Governor's Merit for Excellence Award as educator of the year and a member of the American Academy of Nursing, where he chairs its Development Committee. He is also a trustee on the Foundation of the National Student Nurses Association and a national board member for the American Assembly for Men in Nursing.
